An echo in my heart...

I took this photo at the Thomas Dolby concert I attended at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis, MN on April 6th, 2012.

The lyric in question is from "Love is a loaded pistol".

The concert, the whole experience of getting there and getting back home is something I will remember for a long time. While listening to this song for what must be the millionth time since I bought this album (in Oct. 2011, when it was brand new out), I found this lyric especially meaningful.

It might sound like a load of sappy tripe to you but... everyone has that one particular musician/band that has meant more to them than another other one musician/band has. For me, that musician is Thomas Dolby.

My only problem with him is my only problem with a lot of the more "retro" artists I listen to. As a fairly young person, I will most likely still be alive and lucid as these older musicians age and eventually die. But their music will always be an echo in my heart, even after they leave us.
